When I'm not working, I'm usually spending time with my husband and our dog, Bane, or hitting things at a kickboxing or boxing gym.
I'm originally from San Diego but grew up in the lovely and petite city of Klamath Falls in Southern Oregon. I moved to Malibu for college, studied abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland, and eventually moved to Portland for work, where I met my husband, and the rest is history!

Probably pugilism. I started training and competing in martial arts when I was around six years old, and I've never successfully been able to break the habit...eventually training in kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, etc. I don't actually fight anymore - but I still find training extremely empowering. At any point in my life where I've stopped training, I've felt unbalanced and like a piece of me was missing.
I lived in Malibu, so I've met my fair share of celebrities. Notable moments were seeing Alec Baldwin in Malibu-Yo. He growled at me. It was scary. I may have also yelled "freedom" out of my car window in a Scottish accent as Mel Gibson crossed the street. He raised his arms in a victorious sort of stance. Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Ralph's...I mouthed "I LOVE YOU" from across the grocery aisle...he laughed and and mouthed "I love you, too." It was pretty exciting at the time.
